Hanoi - Laocai - Sapa Tours

Discover nature and cultural diversity in Sapa, a former French colonial hill retreat in northern Vietnam. Day 1: Ha Noi – Lao Cai – Overnight on the Train

We will pick you up at your hotel at 19:30; by car transfer to the Trainstation.Then we take the soft sleeper train from Ha Noi to Lao Cai. Very Special Feeling For Spend A Night on the Soft Sleeper Train,

Day 2: Cat Cat – Sin Chai Village

We will arrive in Lao Cai at 6:00 am the next day morning. Our guide and our driver will pick you up at the train station and go to hotel for check –in. We offer a free breakfast in the hotel.

At 9:30AM, after breakfast, our guide will pick you up at your hotel. Then we start the trekking, we will be walking down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village, where the Black H’mong live! Relax at the foot of the amazing waterfall and the remnants of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time. This is now the place of minoritie doing their perfomances, which will take about 40 minutes, so enjoy their perfomances! Having picnic lunch by the riverside, and after lunch continue on for 5 km to Sin Chai, which is located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, also known as “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here we take in the beautiful picturesque view before returning to Sapa by Jeep/Van. The night the second day, you will have enough freetime to explore Sapa on your own!

Day 3: Sapa - Tan Van – Giang Ta Chai

After breakfast our guide and our driver will pick you up at your hotel at 9:30 Am. We will ride to Lao chai village; here you will pass the Sapa market and Sapa town.

We will stop on the main road and you can walk around for about 2 km. We will have lunch options: At a local family restaurant in Tavan or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank.

After lunch we continue into Ta Van village of the Dzay, the minority is only 2 %. Here you have the opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original customs. You see the home-stay at the Dzay local house. After this we leave Ta van village, you will head off to an uphill trail, pass fascinating terraced rice fields and small pockets of H'Mong housing. We will be walking through bamboo forests to a picturesque waterfall. Here, we rest briefly and admire the scenery; following this you continue walking 8 km for about 1½ hours to

Giang Ta Chai and Su pan villages. This is the home of the Red Zao people - they sit on top of a hill and overlook the Muong Hoa River.

After spending time with the villagers and enjoying their genuine hospitality you will cross the river via a suspension bridge and head upwards again to visit a local handicraft centre. This is where H'Mong and Zao women gather to share their crafts and skills and have a good chat! Here the driver will pick you up to go back to Sapa. That same night we will bring you to the trainstation to take the train back to Ha Noi.
